Cn. Gary Heniser
The Reverend Canon Gary Dale Heniser (B. A. & D.Min.) is rector of the Church of the Advent. Fr. Gary was received as a priest in the Charismatic Episcopal Church in 1994, by Bishop Randolph Adler (now retired).Fr. Gary has been actively involved in ministry for more than 40 years.
In 1995 Fr. Gary was Appointed Canon Missioner of the CEC with primary responsibility of assisting and mentoring mission clergy in the diocese on behalf of the bishop. Mission clergy are those priests who been sent out to establish new churches.
Fr. Clifford Crowe
Fr. Clifford Crowe is a bi-vocational priest and the Assistant Rector of Church of the Advent.
Fr. Clifford was born & raised in Hobbs, New Mexico. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute; Eastern New Mexico University with a BS in Management; and & St Michael's Seminary with a Masters in Theology.
Fr. Clifford came into the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1972 and was a member of ECUSA until joining the CEC in 1994. Fr. Clifford was first ordained a Deacon in the CEC 1994 and then ordained a Priest in 1996.
Fr. James Younce
Fr. James is a graduate from Rhema Bible College and St. Michael's Seminary and a bi-vocational priest. Fr. James oversees the music and dance ministries at COTA.
Fr. Tony Isola
Fr. Tony Isola (A.B.in philosophy, Master?s in theology and doctorate in ministry) studied at a Roman Catholic seminary in California for eleven years and was ordained a deacon. After he left the RC seminary, he began to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which he found in Scottsdale, Arizona. There Fr. Tony started and served as principal for ACE schools. He was ordained a priest by Mar Mikhael of the Eastern Catholic Church and started Omega Church in Mesa, AZ. He was received as a priest in the CEC by Bishop Bates in 2002 and became part of COTA in 2007.
Fr. Tony is also a licensed teacher with more than 25 years of academic teaching and administrative experience.
Dcn. August Garcia
Dn. Garcia has been with Church of the Advent for seven years. In addition to his ministry at Church of the Advent, he is also a Bible teacher at Santa Fe Christian Schools in Solana Beach. A graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, Dn. Garcia also grew up in Southern Oregon. He and his wife Karlie and four children reside in Escondido.
